Hi everyone.

Welcome to Room 7's blog! Here you will be able to follow some of the work that we are doing in class and comments are always welcomed and appreciated. The children like to know that parents and family are reading our posts and seeing our creations.

It's been a fabulous start to the year, with the children participating enthusiastically in all areas of the curriculum. We have been busy making life size collages of ourselves and these are now proudly on display in the classroom - come and see! Our inquiry unit 'The Healthy Me' has seen us investigate how we can stay sun smart, and the children have come up with lots of ideas about this.

Our reading, writing and maths program is now well established and the children are making great progress embracing new routines and expectations in a 'big' Year 2 class. Goals for progress in these areas are now set for each child and it will be exciting seeing them work towards these.
